How to Program 2023 Dodge Promaster All Keys Lost with Otofix IM1?

Got a 2023 Dodge Promaster with all keys lost? This job can be done with the Otofix IM1, but you’ll need to read the immobilizer password before the new smart key can be learned. The IM1 follows the same IMMO workflow as the Autel IM508S and IM608 Pro2, so the menu layout is essentially the same.

Read the Immobilizer Password

Before you start, make sure the vehicle has stable battery power. The gateway module is located behind the glove box, and you’ll need to connect through the gateway adapter. An active Wi-Fi connection is also required for password retrieval.

  1. On the IM1, go to IMMO → AutoVIN → Read VIN and let the tool identify the vehicle.
  2. Navigate to: Smart Key → OK → Control Unit → Read Immobilizer Password → Read Immobilizer Password (CAN) Type 2
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions: Turn the ignition OFF. Turn the hazard lights ON. Press OK.
  4. While the tool is reading the password, use a Power Probe (such as the Autel PS100) to apply power to the specified fuse. Without this step, the immobilizer password cannot be retrieved.
  5. Cycle the ignition ON and OFF as instructed by the OTOFIX IM1 until the password is displayed, then record the PIN for the next step.

Program the New Smart Key

The vehicle shown uses a Dodge 79C smart key (434 MHz) with a SIP22 blade.

  1. Go to: Keyless System (CAN) → Key Learning → All Keys Lost
  2. Place the smart key against the Start/Stop button. Leave the ignition OFF, turn the hazard lights ON, close all doors, and keep other smart keys, phones, and laptops away from the vehicle.
  3. Confirm that all existing keys will be erased, then continue using the PIN obtained in the previous step.
  4. Hold the smart key against the Start/Stop button and press the Unlock button once within 60 seconds. Wait for the IM1 to complete the programming process.

Verify the Repair

After programming is complete, switch the ignition on and start the engine. If the vehicle starts normally and the smart key operates correctly, the all-keys-lost procedure is complete.
