I write this blog to share my experience to solve the problem of “Printing Failed” or “not all frame received by AP (Autel Printer)” with Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802.
When I printed the live data with PC and Autel MD802, the printing aborted from 131 frames to 234 frames. As the text output in the software stopped and some seconds later the message on the md802 popup with the text “printing failed”, I guess the software of autel scanner is sucked in a storage problem. My operation laptop is win7 64bits. The Autel MD802 software I have installed is V6.13.
As I have installed the software RS232 Datalogger by Eltima software and then the printing works until the end. Thus it’s not the problem with the driver, but the problem with the software Autel Printer.
What I tried to solve the issue:
1 Send large datastream captures to the PC (win7 32 bits) from the MD802. Use RS232 DL instead of Autel Printer.
2 Remove the SD card from MD802, use a card reader to copy the DATs to the PC, and then fware’s excellent DS708 helper program to open/display/interpret the DAT in textual and graphical formats.
Creating a report on a DS708 is simple when you know how. Please follow the steps below. Choose the Manufacturer and the Vehicle you are plugged in too with our diagnostic tool. Carry out an AutoScan function on the vehicle with your diagnostic tool. Once completed look at blue coloured section on right hand side of diagnostic tool screen and see the ‘Report’ button. Click on the ‘Report’ button and you will be able to see the report generated on the screen for you to view. Now you will have 2 options; ‘Print’ or ‘Save’. As long as you have Wi-Fi connectivity and WiFi printing set-up a PC, you can print directly to your PC. Both your PC and Diagnostic Tool must be on the same computer network. If no Wi-Fi available you can save to the diagnostic tools SD card for later at a later date To view on your diagnostic tool later, go to ‘Data Manager’ and then ‘Playback’. And if you want to print this document then there is a print option in Playback. The Report feature will only display a short overview of modules within the vehicle, and record what and how many faults exist. You may also need to go into each module and do screen shots of codes if required. AUTEL INTRODUCES AUTOLINK AL609 (ABS+OBDII diagnostic tool) “A great way to get bang for the buck out of just one tool!” The new AutoLink AL609 from Autel is a top-of-the-line scan tool that combines OBDII diagnostics with ABS diagnostics to give service technicians the ability to do the “side” work in one tool. Nowadays, a scan tool has become a necessity for brake work on many late-model vehicles. ABS codes and self-tests require additional software that goes beyond what is needed to read and interact with OBD2 system data. On most professional-grade scan tools, ABS software is still offered as an extra-cost, add-on module or upgrade. Or, the ABS software is packaged with a dedicated ABS tester or scan tool. Now Autel integrates ABS diagnostic capabilities into OBDII code reader, which is handy for reading and clearing ABS & OBD codes. Though targeted primarily to the DIY market, professionals can also use this tool for quick diagnostic checks. Autel AL609 offers you a more affordable option to handle a broad range of makes and models comparing with the Factory scan tools. We provide coverage on more than 30 domestic, European and Asian models up to model year 2013.
