Does the Maxisys MS905 Program New IMMOBILIZER on Chevy HHR ? Owner Question:  Hello we got a 2008 Chevy hhr towed in someone tried to steal the car and ripped the ignition switch and housing and immobilizer apart. We got a used steering column from the junk yard. I installed the new column. Did the 10 minute relearn now the car cranks and starts but won’t run. Does the new immobilizer have to be programmed to the body computer and the ECM. does the Autel MaxiSys Mini MS905 read and send the new fuel pass word to the BCM or ECM?   Tech Answer:  Hi sir.nice day! In general, the 3-10 takes care of it. I hardly ever do the 3-10 . I usually I do the vtd online much faster and it always work but that will require a passthru,tech2,mdi and a sub on tis web but try it again first erase all VTD codes then try this key on for 10 minutes and 30 seconds key off for 30 seconds do this 3 times after the third time do not start the engine turn key off wait 30 seconds then start the car it should remain running this procedure is for USA gm vehicles if no go post your trouble codes BCM codes.Good luck!
