Autel MP900Z-BT Software, VCI, BAS Update Guide

This is a guide on how to update Autel MP900Z-BT software, VCI and BAS for the first time. Read this article to learn the procedure step by step.

 

 

How to update Autel MP900BT software?

  1. Power up the MP900BT tablet, and ensure that it is connected to a power source and has a steady network connection.

 

NOTE

Make sure the tablet is registered before activating the Update application.

 

  1. Tap the Update application button from the MaxiPRO Job Menu; or tap the update notification message when received. The Update screen displays. Check all available updates:

⚫ If you only want to update some individual items, tap the Get button on the right column of the specific item. This option is highly recommended to ensure updates are performed correctly, especially if unsure of the speed and stability of your network connection.

⚫ If you decide to update all the items, tap the Update All button.

 

  1. Tap More to view the details of the applications that can be updated this time. If you did not perform the update operations, you can also tap the Get or Update All button for update on the following screen.

 

  1. Tap Pause to suspend the updating procedure if needed. To resume a paused update, tap Continue.

 

  1. When the updating process is completed, the software will be installed automatically. The new version will replace the older version.

 

How to update Autel MP900BT VCI?

*Before updating the VCI firmware, ensure the tablet’s connection to the Internet is stable.

  1. Power on Autel MP900-BT tablet.
  2. Connect the MaxiVCI V150 to the tablet via Bluetooth.
  3. Tap the VCI Manager application on the MaxiPRO Job Menu of the tablet.
  4. Select VCI Update from the Connection Mode list on the left column.
  5. The current version and the latest version of the VCI firmware will be displayed after a few seconds. Tab Update Now to update the VCI firmware if available.

 

How to update Autel MP900BT BAS?

*Before updating the battery tester firmware, please make sure the network connection is stable. The procedure needs a Autel BT506 battery tester meanwhile.

 

  1. Power on the diagnostic tablet and the battery tester.
  2. Connect BT506 battery tester to the MP900BT tablet via Bluetooth.
  3. Tap the VCI Manager application on the MaxiPRO Job Menu of the tablet.
  4. Select BAS Update from the Connection Mode list on the left column.
  5. The current version and the latest version of the battery tester’s firmware will be displayed after a few seconds. Tap Update Now to update the battery tester’s firmware if available.

 

NOTE

Do not leave the BAS Update page during upgrade
