Q: How to register Autel ID?

A: Pls go to Autel official website to register your Autel ID with email address:


Q: How to find Autel scan tool S/N and register password?

A: Go to Product Registration to register your scanner

Enter the S/N and register password (both can be found on the About page of the tool)

Note: If the device cannot turn on, pls send S/N (at the back of the device) to Autel support, and they will check the registration password in the Autel server.


Q: How to register these Autel tablets, such as MK808, MP808TS, Maxisys series?

A: You can register this type tablet scanner with the device directly.

Just click Register and follow the system instructions to operate.

Note: Please make sure the network communication is normal.


Q: Does all the Autel scanners need to register?
A: No, these types don’t need registration: AL319, AL419, AL439, AL439B, AL539, AL539B, AL519, TS401 and MS609.



The software download guide is same as update.

Q: How to update Autel tablets (e.g Maxisys series, DS808, MK808, MP808TS, etc.)?

A: Connect Autel tablet scanner with internet via WiFi or network cable

Go to Maxisys->Update page, select the software you want to update, click Update and wait until the process is done.


Q: How to update Autel hand-held scanners (e.g MD802, AL619, MD808, Maxicheck Pro, etc.)?

A: 1).Download maxi pc suite from the Autel official website: and install on the PC

2).Take out SD card, insert to a card reader and plug to the USB port of computer

3).Run maxi pc suite, login and you will get software list, just download the software you desire

4).Remove the SD card and insert back to the tool and check the result

If you have any problem with the update, pls send the S/N of your scanner and pictures with error message to your dealer to solve.

Q: How to update Autel Autolink AL319 AL419 AL519, etc without S/N?

A: Please follow the steps to update:

1).Access to the official website to download MaxiilinkII:

2).Connect the Autel scanner with computer via USB cable

3).Run MaxilinkII

Select the corresponding MaxilinkII model, make sure the screen at the right top of screen is green, and shows device connected
4).Download the upgrade kit, path: Open Autel official website-> Products-> download, then unzip the update tool, select the corresponding update file in maxilinkII to update

Note: there are two parts need to be updated. Please make sure complete all.

5).Finish update, remove the USB cable.

3.Change language

Q: How to change language for Autel scanner with S/N (e.g AL609,AL619,ML619,MD802,MD808,Maxicheck pro, MK808,MX808,DS808,MS906 series and Maxisys series…)?

A: For autel tablets, please send S/N to Autel support or your dealer. They will change language in their server.

When language is changed, please download the software again in Update page of official website.


Note: If there is no upgradeable software on Update page, pls go to System settings->Reset->Factory reset, and download the software under Update page. After download, then you can set the language you desire.


Q: How to update hand-held autel scan tool (e.g MD802, AL619, etc)?

A: Send S/N to Autel support or your dealer to change language in their server.

After the language is changed, pls format SD card. Run Maxi pc suite to download all the software. (The download steps are same as update)


Q: How to update Autel autolink scanners without S/N (e.g AL319, AL419, AL439, AL439B, AL539, AL539B and AL519)?
1).Download the language software from the official website or your dealer.

2).Run MaxilinkII and update by yourself

Note: If it appears ff00 or other messy code, refer to the steps of AL519, set any language is ok.


4.Common problems& errors (troubleshooting)


Q: Why failed to register? How to troubleshoot?

A: The most common issue is that you enter a wrong register password.

Note: the register password is different from password in registered ID.

the correct register password is the 6 digit pure numbers in the [About] page of device.


Registration tips:

If you have the registration error, you’d better take a clear screenshot about the registration error page to your dealer/Autel support, so that they can see the info and tell you which is incorrect.


Q: Autel can read fault codes but cannot clear, why?
A: Autel scanner can read fault codes, after confirm the codes, you need to repair the hardware fault of vehicle depends on the fault codes info.

When you repair the fault successfully, then you can clear the fault codes.

Otherwise, the fault will always exist and so that the corresponding codes cannot be cleared.


Q: Autel scan tool doesn’t work with vehicle?

A: 1).If it cannot work on specific model or function, it can be software or operation issue. You’d better upload the datalog to Autel server with the vehicle model, year, VIN code and problem, and the technician will analyze the error data and solve it.


If you want to check the status of the resolution, please tell us the S/N of your device, car model and VIN of the datalog uploaded.


2).If all car software fails to work, pls check the physical connection direclty. Specially check the main cable and VCI.


3).If there is a specific software fails to work, pls check the related OBD connector or reinstall the software directly.


Q: vehilce communication failure. How to know if there is a problem with VCI or hardware connection?
A: 1).Connect Maxisys main unit and VCI via USB cable, and check if it communicates

2).Try to connect more cars to test.

3).Test EOBD software

4).Change a new main cable and VCI to make a comparison


Q: When boot the Autel autolink al319 etc, it asks me to obtain the authorization etc or SD card dismatch?

A: The common reason is that the language selected is incorrect or SD card is wrong (such as the S/N doesn’t match or get the SD card from other devices). Please solve the problem by the following methods.

1).Check the language you set is correct

2).Format the SD card and use the correct Autel ID (offer S/N to your dealer or Autel support)

3).In general, download software, format or change SD card can solve the problem

Q: When Maxisys series scanners system error, how to flash the system?

A: If maxisys has stopped, etc, please get the flash kit from your dealer and follow the steps below to flash the file:
Step1:Please uncompress/unzip the files first, copy the folder “autel_factory” or “autel_factory_dev” to an empty TF card

Step 2: Insert the TF card to the left side slot of Maxisys

Step 3: Restart the tool to flash the system.


Q: How to get log when strange system error occurs for Autel scanner?

A: Pls restart the scanner to re-produce the problem.

Once the problem occurred, pls go to the home screen, click on MaxiTools button-> Start button, wait for it to finish, and then click on Upload to send the log to Autel server.

You can try this procedure several times to ensure your dealer receive the complete logs.
